Join DHA Communications
At DHA Communications, we believe communications should be a force for positive change.
We work with organisations tackling some of society’s biggest challenges: improving access to decent, affordable housing; creating more inclusive and sustainable places; supporting cultural participation; and ensuring people have a stronger voice in the decisions that affect their lives.
Our work sits at the intersection of policy, communications, engagement and social impact. We partner with organisations that want to create change, influence decision-making, strengthen communities and deliver better outcomes for people.
As an employee owned company, governed by an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), we believe the way we work is as important as the work we do. Our employee ownership model reflects our commitment to shared success, collective responsibility and creating lasting value for our people, our clients and the communities they serve.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a Housing & Place Portfolio Lead to help shape and expand our work across housing, social justice and placemaking.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who combines policy awareness, strong communication skills and a passion for creating positive social impact. The role offers significant scope for development and progression as part of a growing consultancy.
The Role
The Housing & Place Portfolio Lead will support the delivery and growth of DHA’s housing and place portfolio.
Working with clients across housing, local government, culture, placemaking and the voluntary sector, you will help develop communications and engagement strategies that influence decision-making, promote inclusive growth and support social change.
You will contribute to projects that champion access to decent, affordable housing, support organisations committed to social purpose, and help articulate ambitious visions for places and communities.
You will bring an understanding of policy and stakeholder landscapes, strong communications skills and a curiosity about how systems and institutions shape people’s lives.
This role is ideal for someone looking to develop their expertise at the intersection of housing, policy, communications and placemaking while helping to shape the future growth of DHA’s work in this area.
Key Responsibilities

Placemaking, Culture and Community Engagement
- Support and lead projects focused on placemaking, culture and place, community engagement and inclusive growth.
- Develop compelling narratives and communications materials for places, programmes and partnerships.
- Help clients articulate inclusive and accessible visions for communities and neighbourhoods.
- Contribute to projects that position culture and creativity as drivers of inclusive economic and social growth.
- Help design and deliver engagement approaches that bring people closer to the decisions that affect their lives.

- Play an active role in shaping the future growth of DHA’s portfolio in these areas.

- Work collaboratively across the business to deliver high-quality projects.
- Share knowledge and insights from housing, policy and placemaking work.
