Department for International Development
The Department for International Development (DFID) manages Britain’s aid to poor countries and works to get rid of extreme poverty. The Gershon Review 2004 - an independent review of public sector efficiency – aimed to ensure that development assistance money was reaching those most in need, as effectively as possible.
DHA was approached by DFID to develop a communication strategy to support change management. We were asked to help introduce staff to the new way of working recommended in the review to ensure that the Department was spending Government funds effectively. Through the communication strategy, we delivered clear and consistent messages to staff in 50 offices around the world about the purpose of the new system and the practicalities of using it.
