Audit Commission
The Audit Commission is an independent body, responsible for ensuring that public money is spent economically, efficiently and effectively, to achieve high-quality local services for the public. The Commission does this by advising its clients – professionals working in local government, health, housing, community safety and fire and rescue services – through briefings and examples of best practice.
To help improve this work, DHA developed a short, bespoke training course for researchers at the Commission. Delegates were shown how to prepare and write focused and influential reports for senior officials that make the best of their work.
