Equal Opportunities Commission

DHA worked with the Equal Opportunities Commission - now part of the Commission for Equality & Human Rights - to review, improve and develop campaigns media, communications and influencing.

We have managed the communications department, reviewed the press function, conducted workshops across the organisation and advised the Chair and CEO on media issues. DHA has also developed strategy, delivered influencing skills training, helped shape campaigns and advised on the publication of key reports.

DHA’s work with the EOC saw positive media coverage increase by 300%. We also achieved changes to legislation - especially with regard to parental leave and flexible working. The EOC became extremely influential across government and with opinion formers and decision makers.

With the creation of the new Commission for Equality and Human Rights, DHA worked with the EOC to ensure a strong presence for gender issues in the Commission.
