Clean Merseyside Centre

The Clean Merseyside Centre (CMC) is a flagship project set up by the Merseyside Waste Disposal Authority in 2001 to encourage the growth in the market for recycled materials. CMC had built a reputation for excellence but, with funding due to end, the centre was eager to explore new markets beyond Merseyside and raise its profile at a regional and national level.

CMC needed a campaign, targeted particularly at local authorities in the North West, which would raise sufficient interest to allow them to expand their operation and establish a region-wide centre. DHA created a vision for the CMC to align it with local government agenda issues and create a bedrock of support for its goals.

DHA’s emphasis on proactive media relations meant that we were able to create a short and sharply-focused campaign plan, harnessing the full range of communication activities and ensuring the CMC’s messages reached every key audience.
