The Power Inquiry

The Power Inquiry was set up in 2004 to explore how political participation and involvement can be increased and deepened in Britain. Its work is based on the primary belief that a healthy democracy requires the active participation of its citizens.

DHA worked with the Power inquiry on the launch of it's 'Power to the People' report. We achieved widespread national coverage - including broadsheet front pages and national news programmes - generating debate and ministerial action at the highest level.

After the publication of 'Power to the People' and a strong popular call from people to do something about the problems identified, the Power Inquiry secured further funding from the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust and the Joseph Rowntree Reform Trust Limited to launch it's makeitanissue campaign - with DHA providing ongoing media support and public affairs advice.

DHA are currently working on the new power campaign, Power 2010 providing strategic communications and media support ahead of the UK General Elections.
