Working on behalf of Arts Council England, DHA brought England’s eight publicly funded symphony orchestras together for the first time to demonstrate the combined impact of stabilisation funding received from the Government in 2002.
DHA devised and delivered a successful communications campaign, highlighting the work of the orchestras outside the concert hall, and linking it to key Government themes and policy areas - such as access, education, technology and excellence.
We developed a programme of events, meetings and publications to support the orchestras in building strategic alliances with leading opinion formers. This has resulted in successful engagement with a wide range of senior figures and influenced the education minister’s announcement on access to the arts for children.
DHA drafted, produced and launched an ambitious 10-year mission statement on behalf of the orchestras, with several pledges including a committment to roll out a programme that will ensure every child is able to attend a free concert during their time at school.
We use our media expertise to successfully highlight the orchestras’ work on public platforms and have achieved coverage on everything from the Radio 4 Today programme, to all major broadsheets and local media.
