Research & Consultation

Our research helps you marshal public opinion and keeps you aware of your stakeholders’ thinking. At DHA, we conduct small, medium and large-scale surveys regularly for a wide variety of contracts. Using the latest software, together with quantitative and qualitative techniques, we can track opinions, provide in-depth analysis and snapshot surveys, enabling your organisation to move forward.

DHA conducted two sets of 70 one-to-one in-depth interviews with heads of large charities/charitable organisations and voluntary sector organisations for the Charity Commission. The results took the form of a comprehensive report, detailing perception of the Charity Commission and recommending areas for improvements.

For Fenland District Council’s stock transfer process, we conducted large-scale telephone awareness surveys using SNAP professional surveying software, and produced sophisticated analysis of the data. Follow-up surveys were also conducted, using both existing samples, and new samples – so results could be directly compared. Awareness of the housing stock transfer rose from 58% to 88% in 9 months.

We can also devise and place national opinion polling. Working for the Fatherhood Institute – the UK’s fatherhood think-tank – DHA devised and commissioned ICM polling, which we then used to help generate a wealth of positive media coverage and stakeholder awareness for the relaunch for the Institute.

Musicians Union

DHA was commissioned by the Musicians’ Union (MU) to investigate why the MU’s membership was declining and how current and former members view the MU. 300 people were interviewed by telephone and a further 30 face-to-face...

GOVERNMENT ACTS ON KIDS IN THE MIDDLE

DHA CAMPAIGN DRAWS £60 MILLION SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN AFFECTED BY RELATIONSHIP BREAKDOWN

Kids in the Middle, the campaign devised by DHA Communications for the Fatherhood Institute and other family charities, has won £60 million backing from Government.

At the first ever Relationship Summit, called in response to the campaign backed by 17 of the nation's agony aunts - collectively known as an 'anguish' - Ed Balls said that he was taking a new approach to the issue. He said: "Too often in the past we have focused on supporting adults when they are breaking up but we have not thought enough about the impact on children. We are pioneering a new approach here in thinking about this particular group of vulnerable children.

Among the measures announced today will be further support for new and first-time parents through ante-natal education and parenthood programmes and plans to train practitioners to help them identify and raise relationship issues.

£60m extra will be ploughed into 1,500 schools for over 200,000 children and young people to access support such as counselling and peer mentoring at school.

£5.5m will also be announced for better coordinated local support for separating couples.
