Media Relations

Our media team shapes the agenda. We’ll keep you in touch with the latest developments so you can take advantage of fast moving events. We will enable you to respond quickly and effectively in crisis situations, protecting your reputation. We offer a full round-the-clock press office service including drafting press releases and comment pieces and fielding all media enquiries.

We have handled media relations for a range of organisations – from housing providers to national charities, pressure groups to orchestras.

We have worked with the Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust (JRCT) on a number of campaigns, including the launch of a report on army recruitment practices. The report gained widespread coverage both in broadcast media (including Radio 4 Today programme, BBC News 24, Channel 4 News and Sky News) as well as across the national print media.

Similarly we have launched several reports for think-tank Demos, securing local, national and international media coverage for studies such as ‘Atlas of Ideas’ and ‘Cultural Diplomacy’.

We pride ourselves on giving local organisations a national media platform – whether it's the Merseyside Waste Disposal Authority or housing providers Midland Heart.

And if it’s press office support you need, DHA has the expertise to step in. Our previous experience includes working with Scope, NHS Direct, Demos and Stoke City Council – complimenting existing press teams and offering advice and pro-active and reactive media support.

GOVERNMENT ACTS ON KIDS IN THE MIDDLE

DHA CAMPAIGN DRAWS £60 MILLION SUPPORT FOR CHILDREN AFFECTED BY RELATIONSHIP BREAKDOWN

Kids in the Middle, the campaign devised by DHA Communications for the Fatherhood Institute and other family charities, has won £60 million backing from Government.

At the first ever Relationship Summit, called in response to the campaign backed by 17 of the nation's agony aunts - collectively known as an 'anguish' - Ed Balls said that he was taking a new approach to the issue. He said: "Too often in the past we have focused on supporting adults when they are breaking up but we have not thought enough about the impact on children. We are pioneering a new approach here in thinking about this particular group of vulnerable children.

Among the measures announced today will be further support for new and first-time parents through ante-natal education and parenthood programmes and plans to train practitioners to help them identify and raise relationship issues.

£60m extra will be ploughed into 1,500 schools for over 200,000 children and young people to access support such as counselling and peer mentoring at school.

£5.5m will also be announced for better coordinated local support for separating couples.
