Mobilising for Development (M4D) (DFID)
A ground-breaking communications approach that informs, energises and engages communities in Nigeria.
Supported by DHA, Mobilising for Development is a ground-breaking DFID-funded programme, designed to make dramatic improvements in Nigeria’s progress towards the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
M4D is a new type of development programme, focused on innovation, bringing people and government together with a rapid scaling up of what works. Working across three states, over five years, DHA is developing a compelling approach to M4D communications to inform, energise and engage communities, excluded groups, government, service providers and the media in a new way of making basic services effective.
Within three months, DHA had already researched and designed a communications and media strategy to reach out in new ways. Using radio, social media and branded campaigns, M4D first seeks to create debate about the potential for services to improve. You can learn more about M4D’s unique approach by watching an animated video about the project here.
