Funded by DFID and managed by the Nike Foundation, Girl Hub is an innovative approach to the development of adolescent girls in Ethiopia, Nigeria and Rwanda.
In 2013, DHA were invited to join a high-level evaluation team as communications lead experts to assess the impact of Girl Hub for the Department for International Development (DFID).
Girl Hub aims to build the confidence and skills of girls and young women so they can delay marriage and childbirth and go on to play a greater role in society. Using DFID’s evaluation methods as well as providing recommendations for Girl Hub’s development, DHA assessed the extent to which communications, publications and campaigns was generating debate, commitment from decision makers and help to build the identity of adolescent girls.
