WWF 's Programme Partnership Arrangement (PPA)
WWF approached DHA to set out a fully comprehensive Communications strategy and Operational Plan for its Programme Partnership Arrangement (PPA) with DFID, which delivers climate-smart, pro-poor conservation results in eight flagship programmes across Africa, Asia and Latin America.
DHA conducted stakeholder interviews and workshops to assess the current communication barriers and opportunities for PPA. We produced an informative and transferable Communication Strategy and Operational Plan to build wider awareness of the PPA among WWF supporters, partners, the sustainability sector and donors.
Following the development of a fully comprehensive communications strategy and operational plan, DHA started to help WWF put it into action.We started by redesigning and developing the PPA’s Ning platform into an interactive internal social media platform to increase engagement with programme partners in their respective countries. The platform is a ‘one-stop-shop’ for the PPA, enabling programme workers to access vital resources, discuss activities, and share best practice. Through a range of different communications mediums, the platform administrators are able to better support colleagues’ needs, monitor PPA programmes and build capacity across all programmes.
We then produced a compelling and visually powerful documents and tools, illustrating the success of the PPA climate-smart, pro-poor conservation approach and the stories of individuals and communities benefiting from the PPA’s support. The brochure and annual report summary describe the work of the PPA to key internal and external audiences using informative case studies, images and statistics. For a key stakeholder’s forum at WWF’s sustainability centre, we prepared a series of emotive posters to further communicate the impact of the PPA worldwide.
